Where the Acting Bug Begins
Youth camps and workshops give young actors the opportunity to step into the work, try something new, build confidence, collaborate with other performers, and discover the joy of creating.
Some young actors join us for one special experience. Others begin with a camp or workshop and continue training with us throughout the year.
The goal is not simply to keep children occupied. The goal is to help young actors grow in craft, discipline, confidence, creativity, and community.
The Big Skit Competition
The Big Skit Competition is one of the most exciting traditions at Words In Motion Acting Studio.
Young actors work together to create, rehearse, perform, compete, solve problems, support their team, and rise to the occasion.
The experience develops focus, resilience, creativity, performance skills, teamwork, confidence, and memories that stay with actors long after camp ends.
Mystery Theatre, Performance & Creative Workshops
Words In Motion offers different kinds of youth experiences throughout the year. Programs may focus on theatre, on-camera acting, character development, storytelling, improvisation, script work, performance, or creative collaboration.
Mystery Theatre programs invite actors to create characters, follow clues, think critically, work as a team, and bring an interactive story to life.
Dates, locations, and themes change throughout the year, allowing actors to experience the craft in new and memorable ways.
Adult Acting Workshops & Intensives
Adult actors need opportunities to step outside the rhythm of weekly training, concentrate on a particular skill, and put their work into motion through focused experiences.
On-Camera Workshops
Focused opportunities to strengthen camera awareness, preparation, listening, script work, performance choices, and confidence in front of the lens.
Specialty Intensives
Workshops may focus on scene work, auditions, improv, script analysis, character development, industry preparation, or another specific area of the actor’s craft.
Training That Moves Into Practice
The strongest workshops do not simply provide information. They ask actors to apply the work, make choices, collaborate, adjust, and grow through experience.
Diego Silva’s Two-Day Film Workshop
Diego Silva’s two-day film workshop gives actors the opportunity to experience how a film project moves from preparation into production.
Participants work through the demands of performing for the camera while developing a clearer understanding of collaboration, direction, continuity, preparation, communication, and the pace of a working set.
This is not simply another scene-study class. It is an opportunity to put training into motion through an intensive filmmaking experience.
Ask About the Next Film WorkshopCommunication Training That Gets People Out of Their Seats
Better communication does not always begin with another presentation. Sometimes people need the opportunity to listen, respond, practice, adjust, and experience the work together.
Improv for Business
Customized improv workshops help teams strengthen communication, listening, adaptability, confidence, collaboration, creative problem-solving, and presence.
Participants are not expected to become actors. They are challenged to become more responsive, flexible, attentive, and effective communicators.
Customized Role-Play
Words In Motion can design realistic role-play scenarios around situations your employees, leaders, volunteers, or customer-facing teams may encounter.
Guided practice allows participants to prepare for difficult moments before those moments truly matter.
