The Story Behind Words In Motion

Our Story

Words In Motion Acting Studio was built from work, sacrifice, and a real love for actors.

We did not create this studio to chase hype. We built it to give actors a place to grow in truth, discipline, and skill so they could step into the film industry prepared. Over the years, we have poured into beginners, working actors, children, teens, and adults with the same belief: talent matters, but training, character, and consistency are what carry a career.

Words In Motion was founded by Emmy Award-winning artist Kelly Young-Silva and shaped alongside Emmy Award-winning director, writer, and producer Diego Silva-Acevedo. Together, we have worked in film, television, commercials, live performance, producing, directing, and storytelling from both sides of the camera. That matters to us, because actors deserve training that comes from real experience, not just theory.

This studio was built by people who know what it costs to stay in the work.

We have trained through long seasons, shifting markets, family life, setbacks, wins, production challenges, and the reality of what it takes to keep showing up. We know that actors do not just need lines and scenes. They need guidance. They need honesty. They need someone to help them understand the craft, the business, and the mindset required to endure.

Why We Train the Way We Do

That is why Words In Motion teaches more than performance.

  • We train actors to understand story.
  • We train actors to work well on set.
  • We train actors to take direction.
  • We train actors to build discipline.
  • We train actors to carry themselves like professionals.
  • We train actors to keep becoming.

Over the years, we have watched our actors grow from nervous beginners into confident artists. We have helped them land agents, book major film and television projects, and build lasting foundations in their careers. Many have gone on to larger markets. Some have stayed with us for years because this studio became part of their foundation. That means more to us than flashy promises ever could.

Words In Motion is not built on empty motivation.

It is built on labor.

It is built on years of coaching.
Years of studying.
Years of producing.
Years of directing.
Years of believing in actors before they fully believed in themselves.

It is also built on care.

We believe actors matter as people, not just as products. We believe training should challenge you, strengthen you, and call you higher. We believe the right room can change someone’s confidence, sharpen their gift, and alter the direction of their life. That is the kind of room we have worked to build.

For us, this studio has never been just a business.
It is a home for actors.
A place to be stretched.
A place to be sharpened.
A place to be reminded that your work has value and your voice has weight.

If you are serious about growing in craft, business, and mindset, we would be honored to train with you.

What We Pour Into Our Actors

Craft. We train actors to pursue truth, understand story, and build performances that are grounded, human, and alive.

Business. We help actors understand the industry, work professionally, take direction well, and move with greater wisdom in the Atlanta film market.

Mindset. We teach discipline, consistency, accountability, and the kind of inner strength it takes to keep showing up for the long road.

Community. We believe actors grow best in an environment that stretches them, supports them, and reminds them that they matter.

Where Our Training Leads

Our actors have worked in film, television, commercials, stage, and projects connected to major networks, streaming platforms, and brands. But more than credits, we care about what they become in the process: prepared, disciplined, truthful, and ready for the opportunities placed in front of them.

This is more than a class. It is a training home. It is a place where actors are challenged, sharpened, and called higher.
