For 15 years, The Big Skit Competition has been one of Words In Motion Acting Studio’s signature competition experiences for young actors. It began at Words In Motion and grew so much that it outgrew the studio and moved into a larger space. Actors come from all over to take part in it, and we continue expanding it into more areas of Georgia each year.

This high-energy event gives young actors the rare opportunity to create, collaborate, rehearse, perform, and compete in a way that truly pushes them. They feel the pressure, teamwork, excitement, and reward that come with rising to the occasion. That is part of what has made The Big Skit Competition one of Words In Motion’s most exciting, respected, and long-standing traditions.

Why It Stands Out

The Big Skit Competition is a real competition experience where actors create, rehearse, perform, and compete. Young actors rarely get the chance to be pushed, recognized, and awarded in this way. Through teamwork, creativity, performance, and pressure, actors are challenged to rise and bring their very best.

The final performance may be judged by industry-focused guests such as talent agents, casting directors, directors, producers, and other working professionals. That gives young actors a chance to perform with purpose, handle pressure, and experience what it feels like to rise to the occasion in front of people who understand the industry.
