A GYM FOR YOUNG ACTORS

Training young actors takes practice.

This is where young actors begin learning the discipline of the performing arts.

We think of Words In Motion as a gym for actors. Young actors need to work out their imagination, listening, focus, discipline, confidence, and ability to follow direction. Those muscles do not grow by accident. They grow through consistent training, encouragement, and practice.

I love kids. I love imagination. And I love helping young actors grow through the discipline of the performing arts. But I also know this industry is real, and parents need guidance just as much as young actors need training.

Twelve & Below is for families who want more than a cute activity. It is for young actors and parents who want training, structure, community, and real guidance.

MEMBERSHIP PACKAGE

This is a membership, not a drop-in class.

Twelve & Below is built as a membership package because young actors need consistency, and parents need guidance outside of class time.

This is not a “pay for one class here and there” program.

When a family joins Words In Motion, they are joining a training environment. Your child receives weekly acting training, and the family gains access to career development, resources, and guidance as they learn how to help their young actor move wisely.

Parents will have questions. That is normal. You may need help understanding auditions, agents, self-tapes, materials, coaching, safety, red flags, or what your child actually needs next. That kind of guidance does not always happen neatly inside one class hour.

That is why this is a membership.

WHY THIS MATTERS

A young actor cannot walk this road alone.

Young actors need training, structure, encouragement, career development, and a parent who is learning how to support the journey with wisdom.

We are not here to sell families a fantasy. We are here to help young actors train with care, discipline, imagination, and truth.

This membership gives the child a place to train and gives the parent a place to ask questions, learn the business, understand safety, and make wiser decisions.

PARENTS ARE PART OF THE TRAINING TOO

Professional acting can be exciting. It can also be confusing.

When a young actor wants to become a professional actor in television, film, or commercials, it can be exciting for the whole family. It can also be confusing, because parents are suddenly trying to understand auditions, agents, self-tapes, safety, materials, coaching, and what steps actually make sense for their child.

That is why we help parents understand the business side of having a young actor. We help families think through auditions, agents, materials, coaching, submissions, professionalism, expectations, and next steps.

We also help parents understand child actor safety, Georgia industry expectations, labor protections, set etiquette, and the laws and protections that help keep children safe in entertainment. This industry can move fast, and we want parents to know how to ask the right questions, recognize red flags, avoid scams, and make wise decisions for their child.

WHAT YOUNG ACTORS LEARN

We train more than performance. We train the young actor.

These skills matter when a young actor gets on set. A child may have personality and talent, but on set they also need to listen, follow direction, stay focused, take adjustments, respect the room, work with others, and understand how to behave in a professional creative space.

Craft

Scene work, audition skills, imagination, camera awareness, listening, communication, collaboration, and truthful acting.

Mindset

Confidence, self-control, focus, discipline, courage, patience, and learning how to keep trying even when the work is hard.

Business

Understanding auditions, self-tapes, Zoom callbacks, set etiquette, professionalism, and how to begin thinking like a young actor in the industry.

4TH MONDAY ZOOM TRAINING

That class is not “less than.” It is industry preparation.

Most Mondays, Twelve & Below meets in person at our Villa Rica studio.

On the 4th Monday of each month, class meets on Zoom because young actors need to understand how the industry actually works today. Many auditions begin at home. Young actors are often asked to submit self-tapes, join Zoom callbacks, and take direction through a screen.

So we use that 4th Monday to practice self-taping, Zoom callbacks, online audition etiquette, camera awareness, and how to stay focused when the work is happening virtually.

WHY ZOOM MATTERS

Young actors must learn the camera.

  • Self-tape practice.
  • Zoom callback preparation.
  • Online audition etiquette.
  • Camera awareness and focus.
  • Taking direction through a screen.
  • Understanding how professional auditions often begin today.

COMMUNITY MATTERS

Acting is not just about being seen.

One of the most beautiful things about this class is the community.

Young actors do not just learn from the teacher. They learn from watching each other, working together, listening to one another, cheering each other on, and learning how to be part of a room.

Acting is about learning how to listen, respond, respect the work, and show up prepared. That is what we build.

MORE WAYS TO LEARN

See the work. Hear the conversations.

Parents do not have to figure this industry out alone. We believe education matters, and we want families to have ways to see the work, hear real conversations, and better understand the creative world their young actor is stepping into.

Watch our studio work in motion.

Families can also visit the Words In Motion Acting Studio YouTube channel to see footage from our on-screen workshops, training moments, and studio work.

This helps parents see that our training is not just talk. We are helping actors practice the work, understand the camera, and grow in a professional creative environment.

Seeing the work matters. It gives families a better sense of how we train, what we value, and how young actors begin learning the discipline of the craft.

OUR STANDARD

We are not promising fame. We are helping young actors build a foundation.

Words In Motion is a professional acting studio. We love imagination. We love creativity. We love seeing young actors come alive. But we also believe young actors need structure, respect, consistency, and guidance.

This membership is for families who want real training, real support, and a place where their child’s growth is taken seriously.

That is the truth, and that is the work.
