Words In Motion Acting Studio

Enrollment Terms, Cancellation Policy and Media Release

PLEASE REVIEW BEFORE ENROLLING

These terms govern the Words In Motion Acting Studio membership or program identified at registration. Membership centers on ongoing career development, educational resources, professional guidance, community, and access to acting gym training. Review the specific program and checkout details for the applicable payment amounts, billing schedule, and minimum commitment.

Words In Motion Acting Studio also offers additional services and specialized programs, including summer camps, workshops, self-taping services, private coaching, and individual career consultations. These services are separate from regular membership and may require additional fees, registration, or agreements. Membership does not automatically include these services unless specifically stated in the enrolled program or offered as a membership benefit. Eligible members may receive discounts on certain services according to the studio’s current membership benefits.

For a participant under 18, the parent or legal guardian registering the participant is the responsible contracting party.

David A. Cox’s Meisner technique training is subject to his separate agreement with his students. Any Words In Motion career development, private coaching, or consultation services for those students are governed by separately applicable arrangements.

TUITION AND RECURRING PAYMENTS

Monthly membership payments are collected by automatic withdrawal from the payment method authorized at registration. Payments begin on the enrollment date and recur monthly on the billing anniversary, or the corresponding available date in shorter months. The paying customer authorizes the recurring payments disclosed and accepted at checkout until enrollment ends under the applicable cancellation terms.

A one-time registration fee is due when a new member enrolls. This fee is separate from monthly membership payments and does not renew annually. The applicable registration fee and monthly membership amount are disclosed at checkout.

Existing members retain their original registration-fee arrangements unless they separately agree to updated terms.

An actor who fully cancels membership and later returns is considered a new enrollment and is responsible for the registration fee applicable at the time of re-enrollment. A temporary payment interruption that is resolved without terminating membership does not constitute a new enrollment.

The paying customer is responsible for maintaining a valid payment method. Membership payments support ongoing access to the development services and resources included in the enrolled program; they are not charges for individual classes attended.

All membership payments must be made through the studio’s approved payment links or registration system, with authorization for automatic recurring payments.

FAILED PAYMENTS AND ACCOUNT STATUS

If a payment fails, the paying customer has a seven-day grace period from the original due date to update payment information and resolve the overdue balance. The studio may use automatic payment retries and reminders, including a secure payment-update link.

If the payment remains unpaid after seven days, Words In Motion may suspend access to membership services, resources, and acting gym sessions until the account is current. Suspension is not cancellation and does not erase amounts properly due under the enrollment agreement.

If payment remains outstanding 30 days after the original due date, the studio may terminate enrollment for nonpayment with written notice, subject to applicable law. Termination does not automatically waive amounts already due. Resolving a temporary payment interruption before enrollment ends does not trigger a new registration fee.

Canceling a payment subscription through PayPal, Stripe, or another payment provider without giving the required 30-day written cancellation notice to Words In Motion does not, by itself, terminate the membership agreement. Any outstanding payments properly owed under the agreement remain the responsibility of the paying customer and may be subject to lawful collection procedures.

ATTENDANCE, MEMBERSHIP ACCESS AND REFUNDS

Words In Motion Acting Studio is an acting gym and career development facility built around three essential pillars: Craft, Mindset, and Business. Membership is designed to support the ongoing personal, artistic, and professional development of actors pursuing careers in the entertainment industry.

Our classes are only one part of your membership. Think of your acting gym session as your workout as an actor. It is where you exercise and strengthen your craft. Career development extends well beyond the classroom and includes your mindset, business knowledge, professional relationships, and continued growth.

Career development is the foundation of membership. Members have access to educational resources, industry information, professional guidance, career development opportunities, a supportive community, and acting gym sessions as included in their enrolled program. Our goal is to help actors develop the skills, knowledge, discipline, and business strategies to pursue a return on their investment in training; no specific career or income outcome is guaranteed.

Acting gym attendance is encouraged but is not required every week. We recognize that young actors have school, sports, and family commitments, while adult actors balance work, auditions, productions, and other responsibilities. Membership is not measured by the number of classes attended. Members and parents are responsible for checking the studio’s current class schedule.

Development also takes place outside the acting gym. Working on set, preparing auditions, participating in productions, studying independently, building professional relationships, and pursuing relevant personal or professional development are recognized as valuable contributions to an actor’s growth.

Actors may be hired for many different abilities, including sports, martial arts, teaching, dance, theatre, and other specialized skills. Developing these abilities may require time outside the acting gym, but they remain part of an actor’s ongoing professional development. Members are encouraged to maintain their membership during these periods so they can continue accessing career guidance, educational resources, and studio support.

Members are strongly encouraged to keep Words In Motion informed, from month to month, about their training, auditions, bookings, productions, independent study, and other development. The responsibility for communicating progress, requesting guidance, and keeping the studio informed rests with the member or, for a minor, their parent or legal guardian. The studio is not responsible for soliciting individual progress updates.

Some members regularly use the acting gym to strengthen their craft; others focus more on educational resources, professional guidance, and community. Both are ways of engaging with the membership services available to them.

Class Schedules, Holidays and Makeup Classes

Words In Motion observes holidays and may adjust class schedules, training locations, or delivery formats as needed. Members and parents are responsible for reviewing the current class schedule and studio announcements.

Words In Motion Acting Studio does not offer makeup classes. Missed gym sessions, scheduling conflicts, vacations, and decisions not to attend do not qualify for prorated membership payments, refunds, credits, or replacement sessions. Scheduled holidays and ordinary schedule adjustments do not automatically create an entitlement to makeup classes or tuition credits, subject to applicable law.

Membership payments remain due regardless of attendance or frequency of resource use.

Registration fees are nonrefundable once enrollment is processed. Monthly membership payments are nonrefundable for billing periods in which the studio makes the applicable membership services available, except as required by law.

If the studio cancels a scheduled service or materially fails to provide purchased membership benefits, it will provide an appropriate remedy consistent with applicable law and the circumstances.

MINIMUM ENROLLMENT COMMITMENT

Regular Words In Motion Acting Studio memberships require an initial three-month commitment. The applicable commitment must be identified at checkout. Membership payments remain due during this minimum term, regardless of gym attendance or how frequently resources are used, subject to applicable law and any written exception approved by the studio.

After the initial commitment, membership continues month to month until properly canceled under the written cancellation policy.

David A. Cox’s Meisner technique program has a six-month training commitment governed by a separate agreement between David and his students. Words In Motion may provide career development guidance, private coaching, or consultations to those students under separately applicable arrangements.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Membership cancellation requires at least 30 full days’ written notice by email to Kelly@AtlantaActingStudio.com.

Once an actor completes the initial three-month commitment and chooses to continue, we welcome them as an established member of Words In Motion Acting Studio. This continued commitment reflects the seriousness with which they are pursuing their development, and we are proud to support that journey.

The cancellation notice period begins on the date the studio receives the email. The notice must include the actor’s name and enrolled program. For a minor, the parent or legal guardian must also provide their name and email address. The studio will confirm the cancellation effective date and any final payment due.

Any monthly membership payment scheduled during the full 30-day notice period remains due and will be processed on the established automatic withdrawal schedule.

Example: If a payment is due November 1 and the studio receives cancellation notice October 27, the November 1 payment remains due.

No partial-period refund is provided solely because the notice period ends between billing dates, except as required by law.

Cancellation cannot take effect before the minimum commitment is satisfied and the full notice period has elapsed.

Missing acting gym sessions, stopping use of resources, verbal notice, social media messages, an expired card, or canceling a payment method or payment-processor subscription does not replace the required email notice.

We appreciate members also informing us personally when they plan to leave. We are continually working behind the scenes on their development, professional guidance, and potential opportunities. However, a personal conversation does not replace the required written cancellation notice.

EDUCATIONAL PARTICIPATION AND NO COMPENSATION

Acting gym sessions, rehearsals, showcases, demo scenes, filmed exercises, educational resources, and career development activities are provided for education and professional growth. Participation alone does not establish an employment or independent-contractor relationship with Words In Motion Acting Studio.

No wages, appearance fees, royalties, residuals, or other compensation are promised for ordinary studio participation unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise. Membership does not guarantee talent representation, auditions, bookings, union eligibility, employment, or any particular financial return.

These activities are designed to help actors gain experience, challenge themselves, and develop professionally. Members are expected to approach these opportunities seriously and represent themselves and Words In Motion Acting Studio with professionalism and respect.

PARTICIPANT AND GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES

Members are expected to participate respectfully and professionally and to take responsibility for their own development and communication with the studio. Monthly progress updates are strongly encouraged, but are not a condition of maintaining membership.

Parents or legal guardians enrolling a minor confirm that they are authorized to do so, accept the applicable financial and participation terms, and are responsible for communications concerning the minor. Adult-only programs require participants to meet the stated age requirement.

PHOTO, VIDEO AND MEDIA RELEASE — REQUIRED ENROLLMENT TERM

As a condition of enrollment, the participant (or a parent or legal guardian for a minor) grants Words In Motion Acting Studio and Georgia Arts Initiative (GAII) permission to photograph, film, and record the participant in connection with studio training, rehearsals, performances, showcases, and related educational or community events.

This permission includes use of the participant’s name, image, likeness, voice, performances, and professional accomplishments the participant shares with the studio, for educational materials, studio and organizational publicity, websites, social media, and related promotional or community communications, without additional compensation.

We celebrate the achievements of our actors and alumni. Words In Motion may share professional successes, including bookings, performances, awards, and other accomplishments, to recognize the actor’s growth, promote their work, and demonstrate the achievements of our studio community.

These communications help build a portfolio of studio achievements while also providing additional visibility for our actors and alumni.

A parent or legal guardian must authorize this release for a minor. By enrolling and accepting these terms, the participant or responsible parent or guardian agrees to the media release. The release and any use of materials remain subject to applicable law and rights that cannot be waived.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF ENROLLMENT TERMS

Before payment, the paying customer must affirmatively accept the applicable enrollment terms, including automatic monthly withdrawals, the one-time registration fee at enrollment, minimum commitment, full 30-day cancellation notice, failed-payment procedures, attendance and refund policies, and the required media release.

A parent or legal guardian must accept on behalf of a minor.

These updated terms apply prospectively to new enrollments that accept this version. Existing members retain previously accepted terms unless they separately and validly accept a change.

Words In Motion Acting Studio may update this website page as its policies and membership services evolve. Changes will apply to future enrollments unless existing members separately agree to updated terms or applicable law permits otherwise.

Viewing this page alone does not record acceptance. The studio’s registration or checkout process must capture and retain evidence of the customer’s agreement.
