Fall Acting Camp – Villa Rica
October 13–17 | Ages 12–17 | $150

5 Day for Actors wanting to wet their feet at professional acting.

Why a 5-Day Acting Intensive Isn’t Just for Actors
Real Training. Real Results. Real Life Skills.

Most people outside the entertainment industry think acting is about “talent”—you’re either born with it or you’re not.

At Words In Motion Acting Studio, we know better.

Talent might open a door.
Training keeps it open.

And for today’s youth, acting training isn’t just about what happens on a stage or screen—it’s about what happens inside a person.

That’s why we created the Actor’s Lab: Fall Series—a 5-day immersive acting intensive for preteens and teens (ages 12–17), led by Emmy Award–winning actress and producer Kelly Young-Silva. This isn’t your typical “drama camp.” It’s industry-level preparation built for life, leadership, and, yes, the lens.

What Can 5 Days Really Do?

More than you think. A 5-day acting intensive can ignite focus, build confidence, challenge comfort zones, and teach young people to express themselves with purpose and precision. Every day is packed with practical tools that actors use in real casting rooms—skills that also transfer directly into classrooms, interviews, and social spaces.

Let’s break it down.

Sitcom & Multi-Cam Scene Work (Think Nickelodeon & Disney Channel)

Timing. Awareness. Teamwork.

Actors learn how to deliver punchlines with precision, respond authentically, and build chemistry on screen. This sharpens listening skills and teaches young actors how to work in rhythm with others—a critical ability in any workplace or collaborative setting.

Commercial Audition Technique (15 seconds to shine)

Commercials are a masterclass in clarity. They train actors to show up boldly, stay authentic, and communicate fast. It’s not just about “selling a product”—it’s about presenting yourself. These lessons serve students in college interviews, job pitches, and public speaking opportunities.

Improv Games (Think fast. Fail better.)

Improv builds mental agility. It forces students to say “yes” to the unknown and teaches them to recover quickly when things don’t go as planned. In a world that rewards adaptability, improv is pure gold.

Even students who battle social anxiety often find new freedom here. Why? Because they learn that mistakes aren’t fatal—they’re often funny. And laughter builds trust.

Sketch Comedy Writing & Performance (Like SNL, but teen-safe)

Sketch work trains students to write, edit, act, and direct—all in one go. This is more than comedy; it’s leadership through storytelling. Students are challenged to take an idea from concept to stage and learn how to craft meaningful moments for an audience.

It’s about discipline, creative problem-solving, and the courage to be seen. These are the roots of future creatives, entrepreneurs, and communicators.

Friday Live Showcase (Cue the lights, cue the courage)

After five days of training, students take the stage in front of family and friends. But this isn’t about showing off—it’s about showing up.

The confidence that comes from standing on that stage, saying the lines, hearing the applause—that sticks. Students walk away with a lived memory of courage. That experience becomes a personal anchor they carry into life’s tougher rooms.

Not Just Acting. Becoming.

We say this often: We don’t train kids to be cute performers. We train them to be capable professionals. And whether they pursue acting or not, what they gain from this experience will shape their mindset for years to come.

Words In Motion Acting Studio has helped launch actors into TV shows, films, national commercials, and professional markets. But we’ve also helped teens find their voice, own their identity, and develop the grit to keep moving forward.

That’s what sets us apart.
