I am Kelly Young-Silva an Atlanta Acting Coach, Owner of Words In Motion Acting Studio. I have studied with Crystal for nearly 10 years, helping her with workshops here in Atlanta.

When I started teaching I wanted to have a mentor I trusted to make sure I was giving the best to my own students. Crystal has been that person for me and many Actors here in Atlanta.

I have invited her to do a workshop with my students and want to extend the invitation to you.  We are also offering this at a discounted rate meaning we are eating the extra cost because we want to connect with you.

Who will this workshop help?

Most of us struggle with auditions due to quick turnaround time, lacking to make the scene real and authentic. Crystal’s technique will change the way you audition.

This is a workshop for actors who want to test their skills while learning a new and powerful technique that will help your auditions and up your game.

We will provide materials for the workshop and give direction each week as to your assignments.
You will need to be able to self-tape and be willing to have your work seen by the class. We will only critique a few Actors from each session.  Clips from your work will be randomly pulled from submissions.  If you really want your work critiqued please email us letting us know. We will pull from that group first.  The critiques are being used as learning for the entire class. 

What is required from you?

We require you to come with an open mind and the with the willingness to work.
This workshop has helped Actors go from not working to working. Our mission is to make you fall in love with auditioning.

What to expect?

Day 1: Get to know Crystal and her teaching.  You receive instructions prior to the first day of class as to your assignment. You will need to be able to self-tape.

Day 2: Crystal will use your presented work to help show you how to apply her technique.  You will be amazed.

Day 3: Crystal will continue to give you material to work on through the week, focusing strong audition technique.

Day 4: You will be able to ask Questions and talk about your experience.

Before using her extraordinary gifts to start the Auditioning By Heart studio in Sherman Oaks. Crystal teaches her Auditioning by Heart method nation-wide and abroad. She conducts semi-annual seminars at the University of Nebraska, teaches at various studios in Atlanta, including: Georgia State University, JP Marston Studios, Atlanta Media Campus and Studios, Voiceover City, The Production Centre of Pinewood Studios (Atlanta), Creative Studios of Atlanta, and Georgia State University, and RJ’s Casting and Accents Model and Talent in Orlando. Prior to dedicating her life exclusively to professional coaching, Crystal worked as an actress in 25 theatre repertory and summer stock companies; in several television programs, and had a recurring role on CBS’s award winning show, “Jag”. But Crystal is best known for playing Julia Barrett for five years on “General Hospital”, when she was voted “Best New Female” by Soap Opera Digest and put on their cover as one of “Television’s Most Beautiful Women.” (March 17, 1992 Issue)  In her young career, Crystal appeared for eight weeks on the mega-hit “Dallas”, booked several Television Pilots, and had guest starring roles on “Ellen”, “Cheers”, “Charles In Charge”, “Midnight Caller”, “Thirtysomething”, “Simon & Simon” and “Night Court” to name a few. Crystal also appeared in several films, including “Who’s That Girl” with Madonna, and the female lead in “Killer Tomatoes Strikes Back” with John Astin.
